You might have heard of the saying, "driving while black", but what about shopping while black"? I was a little confused when I saw this, but it is actually a real thing. If you are familiar of the term driving while black, then you would know that it is a type of racial profiling that is done by police. Shopping while black is similar and instead of police profiling a person, they are people that work a stores doing the profiling. When I found out about this term the first thing that came to mind was a vine that I saw. A viner named Rashid Polo recorded himself as he was being followed through a store by the cashier. I thought it was funny at first until I remembered a time when this happened to me, and I realized how common of a problem this is.
